I wish there was more weekend with my extended weekend. Alas, there is not. Let’s at least be fortunate for a four day work week. For those of you (Is anyone actually reading this?) whoever had to work this Monday, my deepest sympathies. We all need more of a break than life is giving us.
That being said, I need to apologize. I’ve been slacking in the wrong way. Going forward, I’m not going to use the AI art generator on this site. Yeah, it was easy. But it is NOT free. I’m not willing to pay the price in hell for the artist, illustrator, or photographer I could have helped. Until I get the cash to pay for a legitimate illustrator, it’s stock images for me.
So no, that’s not my picture in the about the author section. Not sure who it is, but it reflects how I feel when I’m writing; a feral mess screaming into the woods pleading the spirits for inspiration. No, I don’t know what concert is playing in the Red Rocks photo, it’s free use and I liked that venue. Yes, that is the Newport Peninsula Pier for the Anthology chapter II, but I didn’t take that photo. They are real photos, presumably shot by real people, and they’re in my price range: zero dollars.
I am in the market for an illustrator however, someone who has a distinct art style. I’ll probably blog about exactly what I’m looking for next Saturday. Yup, I used blog as a verb. That’s what I’m doing with my life this year. I am blogging. May the fates and prescription refills be kind enough to allow for consistent uploading. I think I may have almost had someone comment on this space, but it looks like they got shy and took it down. Oh, well.
If anybody finds this space, be kind.
We need more kindness.
More kindness, less robots.
Stay sexy,
Autumn
